Woman kills ex-husband

July 25, 2021 MANSEHRA: A woman killed her ex-husband with the help of her brother in the Matsarian area of Pulrah Police Station here on Saturday. Muhammad Sarfaraz was on the way to home when Naheed Bibi and her brother Muhammad Rustam allegedly opened indiscriminate fire on him, leaving him seriously injured. He was rushed to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. The h police on the written complaint of one Muhammad Sajjad, stated to be the brother of slain, lodged an FIR under section 302 of Ppc against Naheed Bibi and her brother Muhammad Rustam. Police officials said the slain had divorced Naheed Bibi recently and raids were underway for the arrest of both the accused.

New Balakot City sealed after three die of COVID-19

July 25, 2021 MANSEHRA: The district administration has sealed the New Balakot City and deployed the police and health officials after three people died of coronavirus on Saturday. “We have sealed New Balakot City after three people died of Covid-19 within a few days,” Assistant Commissioner Sardar Jawad Marwat told reporters. Deputy Commissioner Dr Qasim Ali Khan had ordered sealing of the locality after the death of the three persons and around dozen were found affected with the virus. According to a notification issued by the district administration, Taj Muhammad died of the Covid-19 at Ayub Medical Complex Hospital, Abbottabad, Muhammad Rafique at King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, Mansehra, and Muhammad Bashir at the AMC.

Newlywed couple hanged to death in Mansehra July 24, 2021 MANSEHRA: A newlywed couple was killed for honour in the Batrair area in the outskirts of the city, police said on Friday. “We have arrested three of the six accused who had contacted the girl and man for reconciliation and hanged both of them to death,” Rabnawaz, the SHO Saddar Police Station, told reporters here. He said Muhammad Bashir told the police that Samara Bibi and his son, Muhammad Zia had married on their own free will on July 17 and had left for Islamabad. “Muhammad Safdar, the father of my daughter-in-law, called the couple back to his home deceiving them that as he and his other family members wanted to pardon them at a jirga,” he said.

MANSEHRA/LOWER DIR: Two couples were killed in Mansehra and Lower Dir, the police said on Friday. SHO Saddar police station Rabbawaz said a newlywed couple was strung up in a tree on Thursday by the woman’s family in Batrair area on the outskirts of Mansehra city for marrying of their free will on July 17. He said the police had arrested three of the six accused, who invited the couple to the area from Islamabad and hanged them from a tree after severe torture. A complainant lodged an FIR with the police, insisting that the father of his daughter-in-law trapped the couple by promising to ‘pardon’ them over court marriage through a jirga.

Mansehra police increase security of Chinese workers - Newspaper
