Kath MS awarded gold medal National January 18, 2021 MANSEHRA: Istehkam-e-Pakistan Foundation has conferred a gold medal on medical superintendent of King Abdullah Teaching Hospital (Kath) Dr Shahzad Ali Khan for his services amid the novel coronavirus pandemic in the district. Dr Shahzad received the award from Governor Punjab Ghulam Sarwar at a ceremony held in Lahore. Fifteen prominent personalities across the country were awarded with the gold medals for their performance in their relevant fields in 2020.

Man shot dead in Mansehra

Man shot dead in Mansehra Peshawar MANSEHRA: A man was shot dead by unidentified motorcyclists in Jalal Abad area here on Thursday. SHO of City Police Station Noman Javed told reporters that they have started an investigation to arrest the assailants. The deceased was identified as Gohar Ayub, 25, who had moved from Bannu to Mansehra and was living in a rented house in Jalal Abad area on Major Ayub Khan road. The locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. Javed said that according to preliminary investigation, the slain had got married and shifted to the area with his wife. Gang busted: Meanwhile, the police have busted a robbers’ gang and also recovered stolen goods in Ghazikot area.

Eight suffocate in Abbottabad, Mansehra - Newspaper

ABBOTTABAD/MANSEHRA: Eight persons suffocated in separate incidents on Tuesday night, the police said. Five members a family, including three children, suffocated as they failed to turn off a gas heater before going to sleep in Phul Gulab area of Abbottabad. The police named the victims Mohammad Javed, his wife Yasmin Bibi, and three daughters, Maryam, 12, Murwa, 10, and two-year-old Aqsa. Other members of the family informed the Mirpur police when they failed to wake the victims up in the morning despite repeated knocks at the door to their room. The police reached the spot and broke open the door. They recovered five bodies from the room and shifted them to the Ayub Teaching Hospital for autopsy.
