Boy dies after falling into ditch

MANSEHRA: A young boy died after slipping into a ditch in the Dabgrain area here on Friday.
Mohammad Bashir, 14, was playing with his friends when he slipped and fell into the gorge.
The locals rushed him to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
Meanwhile, the district administration has imposed a complete ban on the holding of the cattle markets at roadsides and places other than that specified by the Tehsil Municipal Administration.
Man dies in road mishap

MANSEHRA: A man was killed and five others sustained injuries when a motorcar collided with a mini truck at Bedadi interchange on Hazara Expressway here on Tuesday.
The motorcar was on the way to Mansehra from Battagram when its driver lost control over the steering and the vehicle hit an upcoming mini truck.
Rescue 1122 shifted the injured occupants of the car to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital where doctors pronounced Sher Ali as dead.
The injured, who were identified as Mohammad Yusuf, Mohammad Ihtisham, Abdul Wali and Faizullah, were referred to the Ayub Medical Complex Hospital in Abbottabad.
Man killed allegedly for honour

MANSEHRA: A man was killed allegedly in the name of honour in Pano Dheri area here on Monday.“An armed group, who had killed a woman of its tribe almost a decade ago in Kohistan, now killed her alleged paramour here,” stated Nawaz Khan, the SHO of the Khaki Police Station.
Asghar Khan, who had arrived from Dasu town in Kohistan for his treatment, was gunned down by the armed men. The slain man was on his way to the hospital when the armed men opened fire on him, leaving him dead on the spot, and they escaped later. The slain man, who was shifted to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital for autopsy had received around 20 bullets in upper and lower parts of the body. Abdul Sadiq lodged a first information report (FIR) with the police, stating that his cousin was on way to the hospital when five people, led by allegedly Javed Gul, shot him dead.
MANSEHRA: At least eight members of a family, including a woman and her two children, were killed and three others sustained injuries when a pickup vehicle plunged into the Siran River in Gujjara.
MANSEHRA: Eight members of a family were killed and three sustained critical injuries when a vehicle plunged into the Siren River in Gujjara area here on Sunday.
The vehicle was on its way to Tarmung village in Pulrah area, when the driver while negotiating a sharp turn on a steep road lost control over the steering. As a result, the vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into the river.
The police and locals fished out the bodies and shifted them to the Civil Hospital, Pulrah. Three injured were rushed to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, Mansehra, in critical condition.
