The Greenville County deputy who shot an armed man who was on the roof of an apartment complex March 6 has been cleared of wrongdoing after an internal investigation, Sheriff Hobart Lewis said in a video posted Tuesday.
One deputy fired a single shot at the man, later identified by the Greenville County Sheriff s Office as 32-year-old Tyson Devlin Moody. Moody was on a roof at Pelham Village Apartments on Toscano Court just after 2 a.m. the day of the shooting. The identity of the deputy who fired the shot has not been disclosed by the Sheriff s Office.
The deputy was investigated internally by the agency s Office of Professional Standards, Lewis said.

Virginia King, of Greenville, was charged with armed robbery and attempted murder on April 3, 2019, in connection to events on Feb. 22, 2019. A victim was injured after two unnamed and unknown African American individuals had robbed and beaten him, according to the lawsuit.
An arrest warrant claimed King used a meat cleaver type knife to hit the victim on the top of victim s head multiple times.

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) The Greenville County Sheriff's Office says a deputy suffered minor injuries after a driver led authorities on a chase. Greenville County deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on Saturday night, WSPA-TV reports. During an ensuing pursuit, the driver struck a sheriff's office vehicle. Deputies later stopped the suspect's vehicle and detained three people. The highway patrol is investigating.
