Tom Barr | AIM Media Midwest WILMINGTON The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office continues the investigation after a body was found Tuesday morning just outside at the main entrance of the Clinton County Courthouse. The body of an adult male was discovered, according to CCSO Col. Brian Prickett, who spoke to the News Journal at the scene just prior to the body being removed from the area. No other information was released at that time. Contacted later in the afternoon, Prickett said the investigation continued and the sheriff’s office was not yet in a position to release further details.

All those arrested are presumed innocent until possibly found guilty in court. The sheriff’s office recently processed these reports: • Deputies arrested a 34-year-old Clarksville male for alleged domestic violence and disrupting public services at 9:52 p.m. on May 14. A 35-year-old female was listed as a victim. The report indicates alcohol and drugs were involved. • At 10:17 a.m. on May 21, units were dispatched to a Midland residence on a domestic violence incident. The victim had apparent minor injuries allegedly caused by their spouse.

Vaccination site in Wilmington ready for 12 and up AIM Media Midwest WILMINGTON The state of Ohio Wilmington Air Park Drive-Thru Vaccination Clinic will have an expanded offering of the Pfizer two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series given approximately 21 days apart for ages 12 and up plus the Johnson & Johnson one-dose vaccine for ages 18 and up starting Friday, May 21. This expands the eligibility for this convenient clinic to any Ohioan that is 12 or older. The clinic is located at the Wilmington Air Park Welcome Center parking lot at 1199 Airborne Road. You can schedule your appointment at gettheshot.coronavirus.ohio.gov. Drive-thru appointments are available on Fridays between noon and 5 p.m. and Saturdays between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. The site will have 250 appointments doses of the vaccine each day. This provides every Ohioan from age 12 and up the ability to receive their vaccinations in the safety and convenience of their car.

CCSO probes incidents of drugs in vehicles, break-ins WILMINGTON The following information comes from incident reports provided by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office recently processed these reports: • At 10:19 p.m. on May 7, deputies conducted a traffic stop at the 100 block of East Main Street in Clarksville. During the stop, illegal narcotics including marijuana joints, an unknown crystal-like substance, and two hypodermic syringes were located along with suspected stolen items. The report lists a 36-year-old Wilmington male as a suspect. • At 1:40 p.m. on May 9, deputies located a vehicle suspected to be involved with a burglary at the 1-99 block of South High Street in Martinsville. The sheriff’s office recently processed these reports: • At 1:40 a.m. on May 5, deputies conducted a traffic stop around the State Route 73 bypass near Prairie Road in Union Township for having no visible plates. A passenger a 46-year-old Peebles male was found in possession of narcotics. Deputies seized a bag of marijuana, a bag of pills, and a corn cob pipe. • At 10:59 p.m. on May 6, deputies responded to a reported domestic incident at on State Route 350 West in Clarksville/Vernon Township. According to the report, the incident led to a pursuit and recovery of a stolen car. Drugs were suspected to be involved.
