Woman dies after being shot at Polo, Missouri, intersection RTV6 and last updated 2021-01-27 17:59:14-05 KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One woman is dead after being shot Wednesday at an intersection in Polo. The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office responded around 10:11 a.m. to an unnamed intersection, according to a news release, where the woman was found suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead. A male suspect brandishing a weapon had fled the scene toward a “nearby wooded area,” the release stated. Officers located the suspect, a 35-year-old Lawson man, east of Polo after a “lengthy manhunt.” He is being held at the Caldwell County Detention Center awaiting formal charges.

Clinton County Sheriff’s Office reports: Investigating domestic violence incidents, thefts WILMINGTON The following information comes from incident reports provided by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO). All those arrested are presumed innocent until possibly found guilty in court. The sheriff’s office recently processed these reports: • Deputies arrested a 42-year-old Jamestown male for alleged domestic violence after responding to a report of a female being assaulted at 5 a.m. on Jan. 24. According to the report, deputies responded to a residence on State Route 134 South in Union Township and found a female subject with severe lacerations and other major injuries. The report indicates the suspect was the victim’s husband. The report indicates drugs may have been involved. No further details were listed.

The website was updated on Jan. 14 and indicates Behr was still hospitalized on that date but making progress. The website states, “Our thoughts are with him, his wife Kathy, and their three children. We are hopeful for a swift and complete recovery. The road will be long though. Ohio Wildlife Lodge 143 has organized a fundraiser for Kevin and his family to assist them during the challenging times ahead. Please help us reach and exceed our goal.”
