Clinton County Sheriff’s reports: Impaired driver with gun; several incidents involving drugs
WILMINGTON
The following information comes from incident reports provided by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO). All those arrested are presumed innocent until possibly found guilty in court.
The sheriff’s office recently processed these reports:
• A 36-year-old West Carrollton male was arrested for allegedly operating a vehicle while under the influence, drug paraphernalia, drug possession, and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle at 2:15 a.m. on Jan. 12. According to the report, the suspect was found in possession of drugs, paraphernalia, and a loaded handgun with six live rounds around State Route 73 South and Airborne Road in Union Township. The report also indicates the suspect is a felon.
He’s in the Clinton County Jail without bond.
ORIGINAL: Two people, including a Clinton County deputy, are in the hospital after a shooting incident in Charlotte, Iowa on Friday, January 15.
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to an incident at a residence in the 1000 block of 308th Avenue just before 11 a.m.
As deputies arrived and approaching the building, one was struck by gunfire from inside the home and was rushed to the hospital, where is undergoing surgery.
The residence had one occupant, a woman whose identity has not been released, who was also sent to the hospital with an unnamed injury.

Suspect Isaiah Youngblood was apprehended on Midway Drive in Wilmington after allegedly fleeing the stolen car from where it stopped on South South Street.
A Dayton man is facing multiple charges after allegedly leading law enforcement officers on a vehicle chase that reached speeds over 120 mph while he had four juveniles riding with him.
At just after 3 p.m. Wednesday, Wilmington police received a report that the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Sabina police were in pursuit of a vehicle driving toward the city from Sabina at speeds over 120 mph.
