[Update] Once More Unto The Snow, As New Storm To Hit NYC On Sunday

Get ready for a fresh dose of snow the city is looking at another 4-8 inches of heavy, wet snow coming during a winter storm Sunday, the National Weather Service said, just as New Yorkers were recovering from last week’s monster storm.
The NWS has the city under a storm warning all day Sunday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., with snow heavy at times and temperatures hovering in the low 30s. Parts of Connecticut, northeast New Jersey, and Long Island will also see significant snow, the NWS said.
Cheyenne National Weather Service Warns Of Weather Hazards
The agency posted this statement on Wednesday morning:
A fast moving weather system will bring rapidly changing weather conditions to the area today and tonight. High temperatures for most areas will likely be met by late morning or early afternoon as the cold front passes, with considerably colder temperatures expected over the next several days and nights. This storm will be accompanied by a few, mainly localized weather hazards today. 1) High winds are already occurring this morning in the Arlington and Elk Mountain area along Interstate 80 between Laramie and Rawlins, with gusts to 60 MPH reported earlier this morning. This will create hazardous travel for light and high profile vehicles through at least early this afternoon. A High Wind Warning is in effect until 5 PM MST today. What started out as a possibility for snow quickly turned into a major Nor easter, with projected snowfall totals being anywhere from a foot and a half to two feet across the Hudson Valley. Winter Storm Warnings will remain in effect until Tuesday afternoon, as the heaviest of the snow will start to fall Monday afternoon and into the night.
Highs Monday will stay around 30, with strong winds picking up the afternoon. Some wind gusts could be over 30 M.P.H., causing blizzard-like conditions with blowing and drifting snow. This, along with the heavy snow, could lead to down tree and power lines causing widespread power outages across the area. Lows Monday will be in the mid 20s, with more heavy snow on and off through the night.
