(AFRICAN EXAMINER) – A fuel-laden tanker is currently on fire at the Otedola Bridge around the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Our correspondent gathered that first responders have arrived at the scene and are battling the fire.
Road users are also advised to avoid the corridor.
Friday’s incident occurred days after the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Lagos State Command, Olusegun Ogungbemide, said that there are no demon, witch or wizard at Otedola Bridge.
The Otedola Bridge is notorious for road crashes mostly involving fuel-laden tankers and trucks that often explode, resulting in inferno, burnt vehicles, loss of lives and properties.

Edwin Onyuwe and Achigili Ogoli, the officers were arrested following a petition to the ICPC by Boboye Oyeyemi, FRSC corps marshal.
Boboye had alleged that the two officials approached the management of the FRSC with forged bachelor of science degrees in public administration from the University of Abuja in other to be upgraded to officer cadre.
In a statement on Friday, jointly signed by Azuka Ogugua, ICPC spokesperson, and Bisi Kazeem, FRSC spokesperson, the commission said it also arrested two members of a certificate forgery syndicate, Sunday Okpara and Abdulrahman Razak, who helped the corps officers to forge their certificates.
