Kerala govt announces second 100-day programme ANI | Updated: Dec 24, 2020 15:12 IST Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India], December 24 (ANI): Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday announced the second 100-days programme for the state which entails the start or completion of Rs 10,000 crores development works in the state. The Kerala Chief Minister s Office informed through a press note: Rs 10,000 crores development works will be started or completed in the second 100-days programme in the state under the 100-days programme. The Left Democratic Front (LDF) Government is keeping its promises given to people. Out of 600 promises offered in the election manifesto, 570 have been completed. The Kerala Government had implemented the first 100-days programme from September to December 10.

Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan announces slew of welfare schemes

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced a slew of welfare measures to herald the second 100-day programme. He said that all the welfare pensions will be hiked by Rs 100 a month and with this increase the social welfare pension will rise to Rs 1,500 per month. He said that since the Left government came to power the social welfare pension has been raised step by step and from the Rs 600 per month it has now increased to Rs 1,500 per month. The Chief Minister also said that the free provision kits which were distributed through public distribution schemes will continue for four more months.

Sivashankar, former Principal Secretary to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, in a case related to money laundering. The charge sheet comprising more than a thousand pages was submitted before an Ernakulam ED court. The ED has filed a charge sheet as Sivasankar will complete 60 days of judicial custody on December 29 and if the charge sheet is not filed, the accused is liable to get bail.
