Kalamazoo man killed in shooting

KALAMAZOO, Mich. â A man was killed late last night in a shooting in Kalamazoo.
Officials say they responded to a home in the 2100 block of Whittier Drive after reports of a shooting. On the scene they found a 33-year-old man who had been shot. The man was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Man shot multiple times in Kalamazoo

The shooting was reported about 8:40 p.m. in the 100 block of East Paterson Street.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers said they arrived at the scene to find the Mississippi man with several gunshot wounds.
He was taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say they continue to investigate the shooting but believe a dark sedan, possibly a Chrysler 300, was involved in the incident. The car was seen leaving the area after the shooting.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a 26-year-old man from Mississippi suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said the motive for the shooting is unknown and there is no suspect description at this time.
