The library in Ballinrobe will fully reopen to the public shortly following enhancement works at the amenity.
€200,000 has been spent on the project to preserve the Old Protestant Church and Grounds.
The upgrades included planting, resurfacing works, window replacements and other preservation initiatives on the building
Local Councillor Michael Burke told Midwest News the library will be a place for people to go and relax right in the heart of the town.

Former RTE producer pleads guilty to child abuse offences
A former RTÉ producer has admitted charges of child sexual exploitation in Dublin.
Kieran Creavan, of Adelaide Street in Dún Laoghaire, also pleaded guilty today to sexually assaulting and exploiting children in the Philippines.
He also admitted a charge of possession of child pornography in the UK.
At a previous court hearing, gardaí gave evidence of carrying out a search at his home in Dublin, during which several electronic devices were seized.
The 58-year-old, who hails from outside Ballinasloe in Co Galway, is due to be sentenced in July.
