PESHAWAR: A Rescue 1122 ambulance service has been launched at the Khyber Teaching Hospital to facilitate rapid patient transportation.
The service was inaugurated by the hospital’s director Prof Roohul Muqim and Rescue 1122 director operations Dr Mir Alam on Saturday, according to a press release.
After the directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to hand over all the road-worthy ambulances to Rescue 1122, such services are being extended to all the hospitals.
Rescue 1122 will facilitate KTH in emergency referral system by providing an ambulance equipped with three drivers and six technicians 24/7. The ambulance will be connected with the rescue service’s main office, and if needed, the backup will also be provided.

PESHAWAR: The Rescue 1122 started its services at the Medical Teaching Institute (MTI) Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) here on Saturday.
A press release said that Hospital Director Prof Dr Rooh-ul-Muqim and Rescue 1122 District Monitoring Officer and Director Operations Dr Mir Alam inaugurated the Rescue 1122 services.
It said that Rescue 1122 would facilitate MTI KTH in the emergency referral system by providing one ambulance along with three drivers and six technicians around the clock.

PESHAWAR: Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao on Saturday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rulers were making allegations against the leaders of the opposition parties to save their rule.
Speaking at a gathering here, the QWP chief said the Pakistan Democratic Movement was striving to uphold the rule of law and democratic values, adding that the PTI rulers came into power through a fake mandate and they were selected.
On the occasion, the scion of the Sadat family, Syed Fayyaz Ali Shah, announced joining the QWP along with his family members and supporters.

MARADAN: The Board of Governors (BoG) of Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Mardan on Friday directed the hospital administration to ensure uninterrupted oxygen supply to the health facility.
The BoG said that the demand for oxygen has increased after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
It emphasized the need for arranging oxygen in ample quantity and adopting a proper monitoring mechanism to check the supply chain round the clock to avoid any human tragedy, more after the tragedy at the Khyber Teaching Hospital, Peshawar where six Covid-19 patients died due to disruption of oxygen supply.
Chairman BoG Dr Syed Fazle Hadi chaired the meeting held through a video link. The BoG members Tahir Ali Khan, Dr Shahid Khattak, Attaullah Khan Toru and Rahimullah Yusufzai participated in the meeting.
