Onetime N.J. gang leader shot dead while firing gun in Florida casino, cops say

A man who once led a faction of the Bloods gang in Trenton was shot dead by a casino security guard in Florida this past weekend after randomly firing a gun inside the gambling hall, authorities said.
Bayshine Leary, 42, died at the scene at about 3 a.m. Saturday, at the Q-Time 777 in Lake City, about an hour’s drive west of Jacksonville.
Leary was involved in a dispute at the casino, was asked to leave and did, but returned a short time later with a firearm and pointed it at a woman inside, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said.

LAKE CITY, Fla. One person is dead after a shooting at a casino in Lake City over the weekend, according to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say on Saturday, shortly after 3 a.m., they responded to a shooting at the “Q-Time 777” casino on East Duval Street near Cider Avenue.
CCSP says that its investigation revealed that Bayshine Leary, 42, had been at the casino in the early morning hours when he was involved in a dispute.
Leary was reportedly asked to leave the business.
Deputies say that shortly after leaving, he returned with a firearm, entered the business again and pointed the gun at a woman inside the business.
SCHODACK, N.Y. â On Friday, Jan. 29, at approximately 12:24 a.m. Schodack Police responded to an address on Brookview Station Road for a reported domestic disturbance.
Upon arrival patrols noted they discovered forced entry into the residence, an assault victim and information that a toddler in the residence had been taken from the scene by her father.
Shortly thereafter a radio broadcast was initiated for the surrounding jurisdictions to be on the lookout for the suspectâs vehicle which was occupied by three suspects and the child.

Alert deputies from the Columbia County Sheriff s Office were able to locate the suspect vehicle on the Taconic State Parkway in Columbia County. While making a traffic stop of the vehicle officers say a man fled and a search was initiated.

LAKE CITY, Fla. – The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting at the Q-Time 777 casino on East Duval Street early Saturday morning to find a man dead with gunshot wounds.
Detectives called to the scene to investigate say they don’t believe there is any active threat to the public.
In a statement on Facebook, deputies said once they have collected more information and contacted next of kin they will release more details

A man whose leg was severely bitten by a deputy s K9 during an October traffic stop in Columbia County intends to sue the sheriff s office and the City of Lake City for negligence.
According to an Intent to Sue Notice dated Jan. 21, Martinezz Bowman says police aggressively pursued his vehicle and later filed a false report citing broken tail lights as the reason for the stop when the brake lights and turn signals clearly work.
