TEMPLE, Texas The McLennan County Bomb Squad safely removed a suspicious device Tuesday that was found not far from Temple High School.
Police said they were called to the Bell County Public Health District Clinical Services office in the 800 block of N. 31st St. around 11:30 a.m. An officer at the scene said the building was evacuated.
As police investigated, Temple Independent School District spokesman Christian Hernandez said Temple High School was placed on a lockout. A lockout means classes continued as normal but no one was allowed inside.
