Three killed in road accidents KARACHI: Three killed and three were injured in separate road accidents on Monday. According to the Federal B Industrial Area police, 27-year-old Aftab Ahmed, a constable at the Special Security Unit of the Sindh police, was killed after being hit by a speedy vehicle on Sohrab Goth flyover. The body was taken to Jinnah Postgradaute Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities. Separately, a teenage girl, a man, and a woman were injured after their motorcycle was hit by a speedy passenger bus in Shershah. The Site B Section police said the girl was identified as 18-year-old Malaika while the other two were yet to be identified.

KATI stresses rain preparedness July 11, 2021 KARACHI: Businessmen on Saturday urged the government as well as citizens to ensure precautionary measures as the Meteorological Department had forecast heavy rains in Karachi. It was stated by Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Patron-in-Chief S M Muneer and President Saleem-uz-Zaman in a joint statement. They said K-Electric, at the request of KATI, had elevated the grid stations of the industrial area and secured the electrical installations to save precious lives, which had greatly reduced the risk of any possible accidents during rains. S M Muneer appealed to the people of Karachi, especially the employees and labourers to be careful in the rains, stay away from electrical installations and avoid installing Kunda during the rainy season.

Five goats stolen from Korangi Industrial Area July 8, 2021 Suspects who are yet to be identified arrived in two cars in the Korangi Industrial Area on July 5 and left with five expensive goats that did not belong to them, police said on Wednesday. Police have obtained the CCTV camera footage of the incident. The suspects had broken the lock and chain to get at the five goats. Officials said that further investigation is under way. On July 3, a bid by suspects looking to whisk away six goats in a rickshaw from Ghazi Town had been foiled by the animals’ owner, who later filed a complaint at the Malir City police station.
