Stimulus check latest: Will you get a 4th relief payment?

A possible fourth stimulus check remains a popular topic with the third round of economic relief payments almost concluded.
About 161 million payments of up to $1,400 per person have been issued since the third stimulus package passed in mid-March. Paper checks and EIP cards continue to show up in mailboxes. And plus-up payments, for those who didn’t receive what they were due, have also been going out for weeks. Together they add up to most of the $422 billion allotted in President Biden’s $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act.
Initial Iowa unemployment claims down 44% last week

IOWA, USA 3,893 initial unemployment claims were filed last week in Iowa, a decrease of 3,088 (44.23%) from the previous week.
3,494 initial claims for the week of April 18-24 were by people who work and live in Iowa, and 399 were by individuals who work in Iowa but live outside the state. For the week ending April 24, 2021, nearly 50.7% of claimants indicated their claims were not COVID-19 related, which is an increase from 41.5% the previous week, Iowa Workforce Development said in a release.
The number of North Carolinians who have filed a state and/or federal unemployment-benefit claims during the COVID-19 pandemic period is approaching 1.5 million.
