City to contribute $40,000 towards Humboldt Broncos change room renovations

Rona will contribute $50,000 to the project. The Broncos are working on securing other contributions. Michael Ulriksen, the city’s leisure services director, told council at their meeting April 26 the lease agreement with the team does require the city to take care of any costs connected to maintaining the building itself. “We re confident that $40,000 as a contribution is a more fitting amount and goes towards the lighting, the flooring, the painting, things that we would be doing otherwise if the Broncos were no longer weren t using the facility,” he said. A report to council said the remainder of the cost would go towards lockers and other equipment specific to the Broncos organization.
