911 Calls: Stockton man faces knife-wielding suspect during home robbery [The Record, Stockton, Calif]
A 46-year-old Stockton man asleep in his bed Friday morning awoke to an intruder holding a knife, police say.
Three suspects had broken into the victim’s home in the 100 block of Mosswood Avenue at around 4:30 a.m., Stockton police reported.
“(The victim) was woken by the suspect, who brandished a knife and told him to stay where he was, while two additional suspects ransacked his residence,” police said.
The suspects described as a 36-year-old woman and two men aged 59 and 20 years old stole miscellaneous items and then fled the residence on foot, police said.
San Joaquin County hit a grim milestone the first week of January as intensive care unit demand reached an all-time high of 175% in the county’s seven hospitals.
“I cannot say thank you enough to the staff of the county’s seven acute care hospitals for their skill and dedication in caring for patients during the pandemic especially for the 106 COVID positive patients requiring intensive care services,” said Dan Burch, EMS administrator, said Monday. “The 106 patients requiring ICU care to battle COVID alone exceeds the county’s 99 licensed ICU beds. The impact of COVID-19 on the members of our community and our healthcare system is glaring.”
