Authorities arrested two High Desert residents last week who they believe stabbed a man near the railroad tracks on Dale Evans Parkway in Apple Valley.
Matthew Chambers, 25, of Lenwood, was booked Friday into county jail on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
Lillian Martin, 30, of Hinkley, was booked Thursday on suspicion of attempted murder and being an accessory.
Law enforcement responded shortly after 11:30 p.m. on April 24 to a report of a stabbing at the Apple Valley Gas Market at 16801 Dale Evans Parkway, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said Wednesday.
Capuano says she supports the police and knows they have a tough job. Some of her customers are Escondido Police officers, but she wishes the officer would have tried a different approach on April 21, like deploying a police K-9 to stop Olson in his tracks.
In the video released by Escondido Police, a police K-9 is heard barking in the background.
“A taser gun might be better,” said Hector Rodriguez, who told NBC 7 the officer didn’t exercise other options. “The force that he used compared to the force that the gentleman was able to use was not comparable. A crowbar and a handgun are different.”

Authorities arrested a teenager on suspicion of attempted murder after they said he fired multiple shots with a handgun, striking a Victor Valley High School student in an incident that led to a lockdown of the campus on Thursday.
The teen and suspected shooter was only identified as a 17-year-old boy from Victorville who does not attend the high school.
He was booked into the San Bernardino County Juvenile Detention Center also on suspicion of threatening crime with intent to terrorize, being a minor in possession of a concealed weapon and discharging a firearm in a school zone, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said.
