A STUDENT who noticed a man masturbating in a car used her phone to record the vehicle, resulting in a prosecution coming before a court in Offaly.
Tullamore District Court was told that Denis Legac, 39, Ballinaminton, Tubber, Clara, was seen in a distinctive yellow Mini Cooper by an 18-year-old girl as she walked from school in Kilbeggan, Co Westmeath.
The student first noticed the car at the roundabout near the post office after she had come from the secondary school at about 5.10pm on January 30, 2020.
Sergeant James O Sullivan told the court she continued walking along Main Street in the town because she was on her way to a friend s house on the Clara Road.

A YOUNG man who has admitted breaking windows at two commercial premises in Tullamore town centre on last New Year s Eve will have to start saving money, Judge Catherine Staines said last week.
Judge Staines was told that James Mullen, 20, of 34 Connolly Park, Tullamore, had caused €550 worth of damage to the Exhale shop window on William Street and €510 damage to the window of Digan s public house on the same street.
Sergeant James O Sullivan said Mr Mullen was intoxicated on the night of New Year s Eve and the prosecution had also been assisted by CCTV footage from a camera installed at Supermac s.
