Pakistan Gems and Jewelry Development Company (PGJDC) and the CPEC authority agreed to collaborate for the development and uplift of the Gems and Jewelry sector by pooling up their resources ultimately benefitting the Country.
A meeting was held between the Chairman PGJDC, Mr. Shahid Iqbal Qureshi and the Chairman CPEC Authority Lt. Gen (r) Asim Saleem Bajwa. Both sides discussed the objectives and scope of operations of the Company.

Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed satisfaction on the pace of work on ongoing schemes under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and reiterated his government’s resolve to complete mega project at all cost. Chairing a high level meeting to review progress on CPEC, the flagship project of Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Imran said that CPEC was a testimony of the time-tested and deep-rooted Pak-China friendship and “will continue to take pre-eminence in our development strategy”.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday called for stronger ties with Hungary as Budapest announced an $84 million credit line for Hungarian companies interested in doing business with Pakistan.
Mr Khan, while talking to Hungary’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, who is visiting Pakistan along with a delegation of 17 businessmen, said there was a need to develop strong bilateral economic ties.
He said the two countries can cooperate in trade, energy, water resource management, food and agriculture, science and technology, and higher education.
