Attorneys for second accuser Charlotte Bennett were also concerned that the law firm was too closely aligned with Cuomo, in relation to the firm’s past affiliation with Glazer, a Cuomo political appointee. Glazer was at the law firm for 30 years before his retirement. Cuomo appointed him to the board of a state university and a board that helped pick the sites of casinos.
“This is an unacceptable conflict of interest,” said Bennett’s lawyer, Debra Katz. “While Ms. Bennett is committed to cooperating with all appropriate governmental inquiries, including the impeachment investigation, the involvement of Davis Polk gives her pause.”
Find out the facts, and we will take it from there, he said.
Biden also said if Cuomo is found guilty, I think he ll probably end up being prosecuted, too.
President Joe Biden said in an exclusive interview with ABC News George Stephanopoulos on Tuesday that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo should resign if an investigation confirms claims he committed sexual harassment. If you committed a crime, you can be prosecuted, that s true, but what President Biden said was, we should do an investigation, Cuomo said. The question to President Biden starts with, Do you think the governor should resign or do you think should there a review first? And the president said, There should be a review.

After several stalled attempts, Gov. Andrew Cuomo and top lawmakers say a deal to legalize marijuana for adult use is closer than ever before.
The Democratic governor and legislative leaders have all told reporters in recent days that negotiations over a marijuana-legalization bill have resulted in major progress.
On Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, D-Yonkers, said a deal is extremely close.
“We have continued to . have negotiations and really have ironed out a lot of what we think would be important in terms of making sure we do this right, she said.
The impasse right now is over marijuana use as it relates to impaired driving, said Stewart-Cousins. But she added: “I’m optimistic that it will be resolved sooner rather than later.”

That s according to Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins. The Yonkers Democrat said Tuesday a bill to legalize marijuana across New York State is at its final stages.
“We are extremely close. We have reached a little bit of an impasse right now, and it has to do with impaired driving, Stewart-Cousins said, according to the New York Daily News. “We’re trying to figure a way forward so there can be some understanding of safety.”
Gov. Andrew Cuomo has supported legal marijuana for a few years, but it has failed to pass. He believes it would have passed in 2020, if not for the COVID-19 pandemic which had lawmakers focused on the pandemic rather than working out the final details on legalizing marijuana.
