KARACHI: Police on Friday claimed to have arrested three suspects over allegation of gang raping a first-year girl student in Gulshan-i-Hadeed.
Malir SSP Irfan Bahadur said that the girl was kidnapped by the suspects in Gulshan-i-Hadeed.
She was subjected to criminal assault and then thrown from a car in Defence Housing Authority.
She had reportedly left her home to go to college in Gulshan-i-Hadeed on Feb 9 when she was kidnapped by the suspects in a car.
She was found by the Defence police on the next day, who informed the Steel Town police about recovery of a girl.

Police on Thursday claimed to have foiled a bid to kidnap a teenage girl and arrested three alleged abductors.
According to police, three suspects travelling on a car kidnapped the girl at gunpoint near the Manghopir shrine. Hearing her hue and cry, a score of people gathered at the scene and informed the police helpline. Police immediately reached the scene and followed the kidnappers car. Within 15 minutes, police managed to catch the the kidnappers, Sajid, Noman and Yousuf, and recovered the girl. A case has been registered while an investigation is under way.

Two brothers were gunned down on the FTC Flyover on Monday morning reportedly in an attack motivated by personal enmity.
According to South SSP Zubair Nazeer Shaikh, the brothers, identified as Syed Abid Hussain Shah, 50, and Syed Sajid Hussain Shah, 52, were on a motorcycle and were returning from a hearing at the Karachi city court when they were attacked.
The brothers were shot dead by unidentified assailants, who were also on a motorcycle when they opened fire at the deceased. Both the brothers died on the spot and their bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
