Share Updated: 9:09 AM CDT Apr 6, 2021 Linda Grantin The Jefferson County Sheriff s Office investigate a deadly single vehicle accident Monday evening.Authorities said the driver of a SUV was traveling northbound on Highway 269 near William Howton Road when the vehicle ran off the road, struck a tree and burst into flames.The Jefferson County Coroner s Office has not released the name of the victim pending identification and notification of family.Anyone with information is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff s Office at 205-325-5700.

Birmingham police Tuesday identified the victim as Travio Ollison. He was 19 and lived in Birmingham.
Police and Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service were dispatched at 9:30 a.m. to the 1900 block of Druid Hills Drive on a report of a person down. Once on the scene, they Ollison unresponsive in the middle of a roadway in front of an apartment complex.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Ollison was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:16 a.m.

Authorities have released the name of a 22-year-old man killed during a family Easter gathering in Bessemer.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office Tuesday identified the victim as Kendrick Felix Morrisette. He lived in Birmingham and was one of two people killed Sunday night at the holiday celebration.
Bessemer police were called just before 7:30 p.m. to the 10 block of First Street North. Lt. Christian Clemons said the victims were at a large family Easter gathering when shots were fired.
Morrisette was pronounced dead on the scene at 7:45 p.m. Kamisha Malea Davis, 27, was taken to UAB Medical West where she was pronounced dead at 7:38 p.m.

Alabama police identify 2 fatally shot at Easter gathering

BESSEMER, Ala. (AP) Authorities in Alabama have identified two people who were killed when gunfire broke out at a large family Easter gathering over the weekend.
Kendrick Felix Morrisette, 22, and Kamisha Malea Davis, 27, were fatally shot Sunday night at a holiday celebration in Bessemer, according to police and the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
Bessemer Police Lt. Christian Clemons told news outlets that the agency was called to a home at around 7:30 p.m. where shots were fired as an easter event was taking place. Morrisette was pronounced dead at the scene, and Davis was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead, officials said.
