ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office has charged a woman in connection with a crash that left one person injured.
27-year-old Searra Huereca of South Bend has been charged in connection with a crash on Bremen Highway/S.R. 331 that happened on February 19.
According to investigators, the crash happened when Huereca, who was traveling north, crossed the center line and struck a southbound vehicle, police said.
On the day of the crash, officers with the St. Joseph County Police Department arrived on scene, just north of New Road, and saw two SUVS, both with heavy front end damage.

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Two people were arrested after allegedly leading police on a chase and damaging other vehicles during the pursuit Monday morning, the St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team reported.
At 10:15 a.m., officers from the Mishawaka Police Street Crimes Unit tried to arrest 30-year-old Nicholas Singleton on active warrants after he was located in an orange Chevy Avalanche at an apartment complex on Douglas Road, police said.
Singleton was in the passenger seat of the Avalanche and a woman, 30-year-old Krystal Pinkowski, was in the driver’s seat.

SOUTH BEND â Officials have identified and scheduled autopsies for the two people who died in a crash between a car and a semitrailer on State Road 2 early Thursday morning.Â
Investigators with the St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team said Glenn White Jr., 25, and Aaron McDonald, 23, were in a Nissan Maxima driving on SR 2 when the car hit a semitrailer that was stopped at a stoplight going east at the intersection of Quince Road. Police logs show White and McDonald were from Chicago and Homewood, Ill., respectively.Â
A third occupant in the Maxima, Tony Black Jr., 26, was also seriously injured in the crash. Black, a South Bend resident, is currently receiving medical attention in the hospital.
