The crash happened Friday night at the intersection of Oscar Baxter Road and Alabama Highway 69 South. The man got out of his car after the crash and told others who had stopped that he had been shot. He was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center.

The 26-year-old victim, whose name hasn’t been released publicly, was alone in his car when he crashed into another vehicle and then a guardrail, according to a release from the Tuscaloosa Police Department. The crash happened at the intersection of Oscar Baxter Drive and Alabama Highway 69 South. The driver of the car then exited his car after the crash, telling others who had stopped to assist him that he had been shot. The shooting occurred at Branscomb Apartments on 570 60th St., according to the release.
