TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) - Tuscaloosa authorities are investigating after a 26-year-old shooting victim crashed into another vehicle and then a guardrail.
The crash happened Friday night at the intersection of Oscar Baxter Road and Alabama Highway 69 South.
The man got out of his car after the crash and told others who had stopped that he had been shot. He was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center.

Share Updated: 3:48 PM CDT Apr 24, 2021 WVTM 13 Digital Two separate investigations are underway, after a shooting victim crashed in Tuscaloosa.The Tuscaloosa Police Department reported officers assisted the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff s Office Friday night after the vehicle crashed at Oscar Baxter Drive and Alabama Highway 69 South.The TPD says calls to 911 reported the driver got out of the vehicle and told others he had been shot.The victim had serious wounds, and was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center, says the TPD.The sheriff s office is investigating the shooting, which occurred at an apartment complex on 60th Street, and Tuscaloosa Police is handling the crash investigation.No arrest has been made at this time.

Officials in Tuscaloosa are currently investigating an incident which sent a shooting victim to the hospital after he crashed into another vehicle in the city.
The 26-year-old victim, whose name hasn’t been released publicly, was alone in his car when he crashed into another vehicle and then a guardrail, according to a release from the Tuscaloosa Police Department. The crash happened at the intersection of Oscar Baxter Drive and Alabama Highway 69 South.
The driver of the car then exited his car after the crash, telling others who had stopped to assist him that he had been shot. The shooting occurred at Branscomb Apartments on 570 60th St., according to the release.
