One more case was filed against Nurul Haque Nur, former vice-president of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU), for allegedly hurting religious sentiment in Rajshahi.
Jubo League leader Tourid Al Masud Rony filed a case against him with Boalia Model police station on Wednesday.
Police sources said the case has been filed against Nur under the Digital Security Act.
Rony alleged that Nur had hurt religious values and sentiments of many religious leaders and activists in Bangladesh and tried to destroy communal harmony through offensive and false information, via Facebook live.

One more case was filed against Nurul Haque Nur, former vice-president of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU), for allegedly hurting religious sentiment in Chattogram.
Swechchhasebak League leader Aziz Misir filed a case against him in Katwali police station on Tuesday night.
Kotwali Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Mohammad Nezam Uddin confirmed this.
OC Nezam said a case has been filed against Nur under the Digital Security Act.
The allegations are being investigated, he added.

Ex-DUCSU social welfare secretary Akhter remanded

Akhter Hossain, the former social welfare secretary of Dhaka University Central Students Union (DUCSU) has been placed on two-day remand in a case filed over snatching away an accused from police custody.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mamunur Rashid passed the order on Wednesday after police produced him before the court, seeking seven-day remand.
Earlier on Tuesday night, police arrested Akhter from Shahbagh Police Station area in the case.
The case statement said police on March 25 detained a man named Abul Kalam Azad from a Juba Adhikar Parishad protest procession at Motijheel in the capital against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi s visit to Bangladesh.
