Three people died from electrocution during the storm in Dhaka's Malibagh area this afternoon. The deceased were identified as Sabina Pakhi (10), Jhuma (14) and Abdul Haque (65), Shariful Islam, sub-inspector of Hatirjheel Police Station, told The Daily Star. All three lived in a rented tin-shed house behind Abul Hotel in Malibagh's Chowdhurypara, said the police official.

A man was killed after being hit by a bus in Dhaka s Badda area this morning.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Halim Patwary, 55, a sweets seller.
The accident took place at Madhya Badda area around 6:30am when he was on his way to Tongi from his house to buy sweets.
An unidentified bus hit him, leaving him critically injured, according to witnesses. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 8:00am, victim s son Ahsan Habib said, quoting pedestrians.

Dr Kazi Sabira Rahman, who was found dead at her Kalabagan residence yesterday, was stabbed at least nine times.
There are four stab injuries in her throat and five others on her back. Two of the stabbings damaged her lungs, sources at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue said.
Police members who saw the body yesterday also said there were several stab marks on the body.
Family members received the body after autopsy at the hospital and buried it at Azimpur graveyard this evening.
Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists allegedly attacked members of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) on Dhaka University campus today. Talking to reporters, JCD DU convener Rakibul Islam alleged that at least 20 leaders and activists of the student body were injured in the attack.
2 arrested for making fake Covid-19 test reports

Detectives said they have arrested two members of a fraud gang from the capital s Bangshal for their involvement in making fake Covid-19 test reports.
The arrestees are Md Monir Hossain (38) and Md Rafiqul Islam alias Rubel (24).
Based on information, the Kotwali Zonal team DB police conducted a raid at the Al Medical Pharma on Nazim Uddin Road in Bangshal area yesterday evening and made the arrests, said Saifur Rahman Azad, additional deputy commissioner of Lalbagh division DB police.
Police also have recovered a monitor, a printer, a CPU, a keyboard and two fake Covid-19 test reports from their possession.
