TANGIPAHOA PARISH - A teenager who went missing has been located and is safe, according to a Tuesday, May 10 update from a representative of the AWARE Foundation, Inc.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff s Office had been searching for 17-year-old Elexia Leneigh Meeker since she was reported missing over the weekend.

The sheriff said Elexia Meeker, 17, of Bedico, has been missing since May 8. According to the sheriff, Meeker has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She is described as standing 5 feet two inches tall and weighing around 94 pounds.She has blue eyes and strawberry blonde long hair. Meeker also has braces and pierced nose. She was last seen wearing a grey long sleeve shirt, black hooded jacket, black leggings, according to the sheriff. Anyone knowing of her whereabouts is asked to call the TPSO at (985) 345-6150. LT. Authorities in Tangipahoa Parish are asking for the public’s help to find a missing 17-year-old girl who was last seen on Saturday morning.
