Delhi s maiden drive-through COVID-19 vaccination centre opened at Vegas Mall in Dwarka on Wednesday with 70 people getting inoculated on the first day, officials said.

As per the figures shared by the Centre, the country till Tuesday night had 11,717 hospitalised patients of this disease while on May 22 this number was 8,848

India currently has 11,717 patients of black fungus under treatment, Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers DV Sadananda Gowda said today.
He said this while announcing the allocation of additional 29,250 vials of Amphotericin-B drug used in the treatment of mucormycosis or black fungus.
The allocation has been made based on the number of patients under treatment which is 11,717 across the country, reports our New Delhi correspondent.
Giving a state-wise break-up of black fungus patients data, Gowda said Gujarat has so far reported the highest number of cases (2,859) followed by Maharashtra (2,770 cases).
