Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal on Wednesday lambasted the opposition’s negative role regarding the development projects being carried out in the province rapidly.
CM Kamal claimed that the development process in the areas affected by the 10-year insurgency was also being made controversial. “Some people still keep asking about the government’s performance despite the reality,” he said. “I am saddened to see the opposition’s role in the development of Balochistan.”

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani on Wednesday said his government wanted to benefit from Chinese cooperation in the fields of minerals, fisheries, agriculture and livestock and for establishing technical vocational training centres in the province.
Talking to Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong, who called on him along with a delegation of investors and officials from several Chinese companies, the chief minister vowed to work for early completion of development projects initiated under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in the port city of Gwadar.

QUETTA, Pakistan: At least four people were killed and a dozen others wounded when a bomb exploded at a top hotel hosting the Chinese ambassador in southwestern Pakistan, officials said late Wednesday (Apr 21).
The blast took place in the car park of the Serena - a luxury hotel chain throughout Pakistan - in the city of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province where the military has been fighting a decade-long low level insurgency.

Quetta: A car bomb blast late on Wednesday (April 21) ripped through a luxury hotel s parking area in the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta, killing four people and wounding 11, officials said.
China s ambassador to Pakistan was staying at the hotel, but was not there when the bomb exploded, said Pakistan s Interior Minister, Sheikh Rashid Ahmad.
