The House impeachment managers on Thursday invited former President Donald Trump to testify under oath before during his upcoming Senate trial.
The letter was signed by Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin, who is leading House Democrats’ impeachment effort, and was addressed to Trump and his legal team. It was sent in response to an earlier answer by Trump’s legal team regarding the trial, where they denied that the former president played any role in inciting the Capitol riot on Jan. 6.
“Two days ago, you filed an Answer in which you denied many factual allegations set forth in the article of impeachment,” Raskin wrote. “You have thus attempted to put critical facts at issue notwithstanding the clear and overwhelming evidence of your constitutional offense.”

Psaki’s reference to “Lady G” refers to rumors that have circulated on social media about Graham’s sexuality. She did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
“Very disappointed someone in her position would embrace this style politics,” Graham spokesman Kevin Bishop told the DCNF. “It says more about her than it does about Senator Graham.”

Illinois Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger was censured by county Republicans in his home district after voting to impeach former President Donald Trump.
The censure resolution was overwhelmingly passed by the LaSalle County Republican Central Committee late on Wednesday, rebuking the congressman for voting “contrary to the values” of the party, said county Republican chair Larry Smith.
Smith said that the measure passed with 88% support in a statement, according to multiple reports, voicing his concerns that Kinzinger, who was first elected in the Tea Party wave of 2010, has failed to engage with country Republicans while in Congress but managed to vote to impeach Trump and repeatedly criticize him on social media.

Former Vice President Mike Pence will become a distinguished visiting fellow at The Heritage Foundation, the think tank announced Thursday.
Pence started a transition office on Tuesday and said he is returning to his home, Indiana, in the summer, according to Politico. Some anticipate that Pence will campaign for the 2024 presidency.
“Over the course of the past four years, our team at Heritage has worked closely with members of the Trump administration on a host of policy accomplishments,” Heritage President Kay C. James said in the think tank’s press release.
“That’s why I am excited Vice President Mike Pence will join forces with Heritage to ensure we continue to advance conservative principles and policy solutions. His allegiance to the Constitution and commitment to advancing a conservative policy agenda make him an outstanding fit for The Heritage Foundation.”
