Thiruvananthapuram, April 13 : Former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy who turned Covid positive and is convalescing at a private hospital here since Thursday, continues to be under the close monitoring of a team of doctors. A leading gastroenterologist was summoned from Kochi to examine him after he developed gall bladder issues, which he has been having for a while. A medical board is closely monitoring him and is doing regular reviews, said a doctor treating Chandy.
Girija had a similar experience on Tuesday when she cast her maiden vote in the assembly elections.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Girija Devi, 24, a native of Thenmala tribal settlement in Thodumala ward in Amboori grama panchayat, had a tough time when her mother Neelamma was under cancer treatment at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College.Besides the mental agony, every hospital visit also left her and her mother physically drained as they had to depend on the ferry service near their hamlet to reach the other side, from where they had to travel all the way to the hospital.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior Congress leader and former Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy have tested positive for coronavirus. He has been resting at his home, Puthupally House at Poojappura here. The health department authorities are planning to shift him to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College on Thursday night itself.
The former Chief Minister had travelled across Kerala on a rigorous election campaign ever since the candidature list was announced during mid-March.
