Cincinnati Weather: Strong thunderstorm hits Greater Cincinnati Tuesday night View Comments A strong thunderstorm has hit parts of Greater Cincinnati Tuesday evening, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, Ohio.  Forecasters say a strong thunderstorm will affect northern Campbell, eastern Hamilton and northwest Clermont counties until 8:30 p.m.  Impacted locations include Cincinnati, Covington, Norwood, Fort Thomas, Newport, Blue Ash, Reading, Montgomery, Madeira, Alexandria, Highland Heights, Milford, Bellevue, Deer Park, Dayton, Southgate, Forestville, Mariemont, Wilder and Terrace Park. The National Weather Service says hazards including winds up to 50 mph and hail half an inch in diameter is possible.  Forecasters said around 7:55 p.m. radar indicated a strong thunderstorm was over Mariemont, adding the storm was nearly stationary.

(Stephen Crane / Mooresville-Decatur Times) As of 8:15 p.m., there were 8,964 customers without power in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky, according Duke Energy s power outage map. Hamilton County is the most effected by the outages, with over 6,000 customers without power.  The maximum time for customers power to be restored ranges from 10:30 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the company s website.

As of 8:15 p.m., there were 8,964 customers without power in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky, according Duke Energy s power outage map. Hamilton County is the most effected by the outages, with over 6,000 customers without power.  The maximum time for customers power to be restored ranges from 10:30 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the company s website.  Severe storm warnings have ended for counties in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky but remain in place until 8:30 p.m. for parts of Ripley and Dearborn counties in Southeast Indiana, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, Ohio.  A severe storm moving northeast at 5 mph was spotted around 8 p.m. near Moores Hill, forecasters said.
