Amid COVID-19, a large number of students are worried about the upcoming CBSE Board exams. Clarifying all queries of students with regard to CBSE class 10 and 12 exams, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Tuesday said that no board exams will be conducted till after February 2021.
The decision was taken in view of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic outbreak, and the exams have been postponed till when the condition is ideal for holding the CBSE Board exams.
He added that more discussions in the future will be needed to fix the CBSE Board Exam 2021 dates.
CBSE 2021: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Tuesday ruled out conducting CBSE board examinations for classes 10 and 12 till February next year in view of Covid-19 situation. He said a decision on conducting the CBSE board exams 2021 would be taken later after due consultations and assessment of the situation. Keeping the current situation in mind, it has been decided that the board exams for classes 10 and 12 will not be conducted till February 2021. A decision on the exam schedule will be taken later after assessment of situation and more consultations, the education minister said during an online interaction with teachers. According to Nishank, CBSE has reduced the syllabus by 30 per cent for the 2021 board examinations. CBSE officials have clarified that there is no proposal to hold the CBSE board exams 2021 online.

NEW DELHI: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank today conducted a webinar to interact with teachers across the country. During the interaction, the education minister said that there would be no practical examinations in January and February. He said that board exams will not be conducted till February next year and the decision on examination schedule will be taken later.

Thus to address all queries of students with regard to CBSE class 10 and 12 exams, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank today will hold a live webinar to interact with teachers from across the country.
Earlier, on December 10, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal fielded the questions of the students at a live interactive session and assured them that they will return to school soon as the COVID-19 situation in the country is improving. Presently, 17 states have decided to reopen schools, he informed.

The Union Minister today virtually interacted with teachers across the country on upcoming competitive and board exams.
Speaking on the occasion, Pokhriyal said that the importance of a Guru has always been more than God and that is why we should respect all the teachers keeping the spirit of Acharya Devo Bhavah. He said that due to the efforts made by the teachers, the online education system of the country is proved successful. The Minister expressed his gratitude to all the teachers for spreading awareness relating to COVID-19 among the students and society at large. He thanked teachers for participating with full sincerity in this war against COVID 19.
