Both Pennsylvania senators offered thoughts following the guilty verdict in the Derek Chauvin murder trial in Minnesota. Bob Casey said in a statement, This verdict is about accountability, but it is not justice. While Derek Chauvin will be held accountable for the murder of George Floyd, it’s not enough. Countless others have died at hands of police because of a broken system that must be reformed. Pat Toomey released a statement saying, Derek Chauvin was convicted by a jury of his peers of the murder of George Floyd. My sympathies remain with the Floyd family. While nothing can cure the hurt the Floyd family lives with every day, I do hope this verdict brings them a degree of solace.”
Lower Saucon man arrested after 2nd call for shots fired outside home, police say

A 23-year-old Lower Saucon Township man was arrested after the second time he fired shots early Sunday outside a home, police report.
Officers initially encountered an intoxicated Kenneth Reid Grim, of the 2200 block of Wassergass Road, about 5:45 a.m. outside a nearby home after he fired several shots into the ground, township police said in court papers. He was charged with disorderly conduct, police said.
At 6:54 a.m., they were sent back to the home and learned another person had secured Grimm’s weapon in a car, with four rounds missing from the 16-round magazine, police said.

Drug dealer used Uber to pick up heroin and crack, Easton police say

A man accused of dealing heroin and crack in the Easton area was arrested after traveling to Philly in an Uber to pick up drugs, city police said.
Jason Kuehner, of Lower Mount Bethel Township, was arrested Thursday afternoon after his trip, and charged with felony counts of possession of heroin and crack cocaine with the intent to distribute, police said.
The 38-year-old Kuehner was sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of 10% of $50,000 bail, where he remained as of Friday afternoon.
Easton police said they learned Kuehner was dealing drugs in the Easton area, and had a confidential source make a controlled purchase of heroin earlier this month from Kuehner.

A 33-year-old Easton woman, who was out on bail on possession with intent to deliver drugs charges from November, was pulled over Tuesday night after running a stop sign in the West Ward with a “large amount” of methamphetamine and fentanyl in the car, city police report.
Tiffany Lynn Rissmiller, of the 100 block of Mulberry Street, was driving her silver BMW sedan at 8:15 p.m. when she failed to stop on South 11th Street at its signed intersection with Lehigh Street, police said.
