Vermont State Police On May 25, 2021 at approximately 0300 hours, the Corinth Fire Department responded to a report of a residential fire at 642 Camp Munn Road, Corinth, VT. Upon arrival the residence was observed to be fully involved, and it was learned from two of the residents that there was one occupant still inside. Due to the intensity and size of the fire, members of the fire department were unable to enter the residence. When the fire was extinguished, the unaccounted-for occupant was found deceased inside the residence.
Members of the Vermont State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit conducted an investigation into the cause and origin of the fire and determined that the fire was not suspicious in nature. The fire started on the front porch in the area of a can used for discarded smoking materials.

The Vermont State Police is investigating an apparent fatal shooting in the town of Newbury. The suspect was taken into custody peacefully early Tuesday morning, May 4, 2021, following a standoff and is expected to be charged with murder.
The suspect is 70-year-old James Perry Jr of Newbury. The victim in this incident is identified as Karina Rheaume, 38, of Newbury, the daughter of the suspect in her death.
An autopsy was performed Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington on victim Karina Rheaume.
The cause of death was determined to be shotgun wounds of the head and torso, and the manner of death is homicide.

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (FOX19) - Hamilton Township police officials released new details Tuesday on their officer-involved shooting over the weekend.
Police shot and killed 57-year-old Anthony Williams after they say he raised a gun at them Sunday night.
Hamilton Township Police Chief Scott Hughes released a statement on behalf of Williams’ family that thanked the police.
“We are extremely thankful no officers were harmed and we want to personally thank every officer who responded and put yourselves at risk on a daily basis,” the statement reads.

Two Suspects Charged Following Zanesville Homicide
Zanesville Police Chief Tony Coury released the names of the two suspects and victim.
23-year-old Jayla Wyatt was found dead in her apartment on 6th Street when police arrived at approximately 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday. Police received a phone call from a resident of the apartment stating he came home and found her lying on the ground, appearing to look deceased. She was shot with a firearm.
20-year-old Tristaney Baker is believed to be the shooting suspect. 23-year-old Devin McKnelly was in the area when the shooting occurred. Coury said McKnelly is believed to be the one who drove himself and Baker to the apartment and back to Columbus.
