The deadline to request an absentee ballot is Tuesday, March 16 at 4:30 pm. Requests can be made online by visiting voterportal.sos.la.gov and selecting “Request Absentee Ballot,” or in person at the parish Registrar of Voters Office. Voters who have requested but not yet received an absentee ballot may check their absentee ballot status by visiting voterportal.sos.la.gov, entering the appropriate voter information and selecting “Check Absentee Ballot Status.”

Recall effort targets 2 Benicia school trustees; Vaca council may be next FAIRFIELD Two members of the Benicia School District board have been targeted for recall, and the county Registrar of Voters Office has received recall inquiries about the Vacaville City Council. John Gardner, the assistant registrar of voters, said Thursday the office is just waiting for proof that the notice of intention to circulate a recall petition has been published to give the final OK to collect signatures in Benicia. The trustees who are the subject of the recall are Sheri Zada, who represents Trustee Area 1, and Mark Maselli, who represents Trustee Area 4. Both have terms that end in 2022.

(WAFB) - More than 90,000 Louisianans have exercised their right to vote by casting an early ballot for the upcoming March 20 election, according to the Louisiana Secretary of State’s Office. Online data shows as of March 13, 90,650 voters participated in statewide early voting. Officials want to remind voters that the last day to early vote is Saturday, March 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Citizens who want to vote early may do so in person at the parish Registrar of Voters Office or at other designated locations.
