A motorcyclist died in a crash Friday night in West Palm Beach.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff s Office says Clint Wayne Southard, 28, was driving a 2004 Suzuki GSX-R1000 eastbound on Okeechobee Boulevard at 7:24 p.m. Friday.
A driver in a 2016 Cadillac ATS began turning left across the eastbound lanes to travel south on Citation Drive.
As the Cadillac was turning, the motorcyclist improperly applied the rear brake and steered towards the car.
The motorcycle impacted the passenger rear door of the car, which propelled the driver and motorcycle to the ground.

WELLINGTON, Fla. â A mother and child were rescued from the roof of a burning building Saturday in Wellington.
Firefighters were called to an apartment fire shortly before 11:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of Fox Court.
Responding firefighters reported seeing smoke and fire in the garage area.
Firefighters rescued a mother and child who were trapped on the roof.
Deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff s Office located a patient with burns near the Mall at Wellington Green. The person was taken to an area trauma center by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

Arriving officers found a 22-year-old woman next to the road, covered in blood, an arrest report said. She had multiple stab wounds on her back, head and arm, and told officers her brother stabbed her. She told officers her sister was still in the house, the report said. The 33-year-old woman was found inside, also with multiple stab wounds.
She had two collapsed lungs and was taken to Delray Medical Center, the report said. The sisters identity was not released. The Boynton Beach Police department said one victim is in stable condition, the other is in critical condition.

I had this idea more of a fantasy, really a couple of weeks ago that I’d squeeze a Florida Man Friday column in between Bloody Marys and conversations and presents on Christmas Eve Day.
Clearly, that didn’t happen.
But then I figured that since my wife and I had to cancel our annual New Year’s gala, that I’d be primed to do Florida Man Friday on New Year’s Day.
That fantasy ran head-first into the hangover I had on New Year’s Day despite the canceled gala.
Oops.
In the week that followed, none of us has ever needed some breezy news more than we do right now.
