KUALA LUMPUR, April 28 Malaysia’s current Covid-19 infections have continued to exceed a Health Ministry projection that would put the country at over 5,000 cases a day before the end of May.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah disclosed that the current effective reproduction number (Rt) for Covid-19 in the country was 1.12, but shared a graph that showed observed cases to surpass a projection curve with an Rt of 1.2.

KUALA LUMPUR: The medication supply management system for pharmacy value-added services (MyUBAT), which allows patients to monitor the supply and use of their medications through the MyUBAT app on their smartphones has been expanded to all Ministry of Health (MOH) health facilities since April 15.

pix) said the system also makes it easier for the staff at pharmaceutical facilities to manage the registration process and prepare the patients’ medications at the counters more systematically.
He said MyUBAT, which was launched on Aug 12 last year, was implemented as a pilot project at seven MOH facilities, namely the Ampang Hospital, Melaka Hospital, Kuala Lumpur Hospital, Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital, Tuanku Ampuan Najihah Hospital, Kelana Jaya Health Clinic and Peringgit Health Clinic.

KUALA LUMPUR: New Covid-19 cases today breached the 3,000 mark with 3,142 cases with 15 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the cumulative Covid-19 cases in the country to 401,593.
Health Ministry director-general (DG) Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said all the victims who died yesterday were locals, bringing the death toll due to the coronavirus to 1,477.
In his statement today, Dr Noor Hisham said Selangor remains the state with the highest number of new cases at 1,019, followed by Kelantan (523) and Kuala Lumpur (440).
He said in the last 24 hours, 1,822 cases of recoveries were recorded, bringing the cumulative total to 373,397, while active cases were now 26,719.
PETALING JAYA: The number of daily Covid-19 cases has once again hit the 3,000 mark, a trend not seen since the beginning of this year.
As of Wednesday (April 28), there were 3,142 new Covid-19 cases, pushing the country s tally to 401,593 cases since the pandemic first started.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said of the total new cases, 2,950 involved locals while the balance were foreigners.
“Selangor recorded the highest number with 1,019 cases.
“Of this, 819 cases were from clusters and screening of close contacts in the field, he said in a statement.
This was followed by Kelantan with 523 cases and Kuala Lumpur with 440 cases.
