N.J. man indicted for alleged sexual assault of child at in-home daycare Updated Mar 03, 2021; A grand jury on Wednesday indicted a Passaic County man who denies accusations of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old child in a daycare run out of his home, authorities said. On Wednesday, a Passaic County grand jury indicted Juan Jimenez, 65, of Passaic, with multiple sex crimes, including first degree aggravated sexual assault, two counts of second degree sexual assault and two counts of second degree endangering the welfare of a child, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said in a statement. Last July, police arrested Jimenez for allegedly sexually assaulting an 8-year-old at the Passaic daycare center that is owned by his wife, the office previously said. The daycare is operated by Jimenez’s wife and is an accredited center for childcare, a spokeswoman for the office previously said.

Read / Add Comments A 26-year-old Passaic man was shot in the neck overnight at a city public housing development, authorities confirmed. “Evidence of a crime scene was located outside and inside the building” at Speer Village on Aspen Place and State Street just off Route 21 shortly after 1 a.m., Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M.
