PMC employees offered voluntary severance package

PMC employees offered voluntary severance package July 9, 2021 Islamabad : The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has begun serving the notices of the Voluntary Severance Package to its staff members, who were employed years ago by its predecessor, the dissolved Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), to their resentment. The financial incentive is meant for the removal of the employees with their consent. The development came days after the regulator for medical education and practice stopped few of those employees from attending office by making them officers on special duty. The PMC sources claim that the Council, the highest decision-making body at the PMC, recently approved the initiative for the eligible employees. However, it is being implemented with the cabinet s approval as suggested by the finance ministry.
