Bodies found in abandoned Parker County school identified as men from Austin, Waco

WEATHERFORD, Texas - Authorities have identified the bodies found in an abandoned rural Parker County school over the weekend as two Central Texas men.
The bodies were identified as 35-year-old Efrian Mendoza, of Austin, and 26-year-old Daniel Gomez, of Waco. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled both of their deaths as homicide from gunshot wounds.
Their bodies were found near the front door of the abandoned school in the 4200 block of North FM 52 in Whitt.
Parker County Sheriff Russ Authier said Weatherford PD got a call Sunday afternoon about a man who may be in danger somewhere in the Dallas/Weatherford area.

Authorities found two men dead inside an abandoned school in Parker County Sunday, the sheriff s office says.
The Weatherford Police Department received two separate calls Sunday regarding one or more people in danger at an unidentified abandoned schoolhouse with possible gunfire, according to the Parker County Sheriff s Office. The second of the calls was transferred to the sheriff s office.

The Parker County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the deaths of two men after their bodies were found Sunday in an abandoned school.
Weatherford police received two calls on its non-emergency line about one or more people who were at an unidentified abandoned school and possible gunfire, authorities said. The second call was transferred to the sheriff’s office, and deputies began to look for the building.
Deputies later found the bodies of two men in a building in the 4200 block of North FM 52 in Whitt. Identities of the men will be withheld until next of kin has been notified, authorities said.
