Woman Dies after Car Becomes Submerged in New Vineyard Pond Police are investigating an accident that ended with a car in a pond and a woman who was deceased. Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss says the Franklin County Sheriff s Office got a call just before 11:00 Tuesday morning from a man who told them his vehicle was submerged in a pond. He went on to say that he and his wife required medical attention. Get our free mobile app When Deputies got to the scene, they made contact with the husband and then went to check on his wife, who was lying on the shore of the pond. First Responders determined that she had died, prior to their arrival. The man was then transported to Franklin Memorial Hospital. There s no word on how badly he was hurt.
