(File) + July 08, 2021 THE Sars-CoV-2 variant that emerged in the Philippines, earlier designated by the World Health Organization (WHO) as Theta, has been removed from the list of variants of interest (VOI). It is now on the list of variants with “alerts for further monitoring,” along with two other former VOIs, Epsilon (B.1.427/B.1.429) and Zeta (P.2).
