7 MORE coronavirus deaths in East Lancashire hospital in 24 hours THERE have been seven more coronavirus deaths in East Lancashire s hospitals in the last 24 hours according to the latest figures. Yesterday, the Lancashire Telegraph reported that the East Lancashire Hospitals Trust, which operates Royal Blackburn Hospital and Burnley General Hospital, had 15 deaths in a 24-hour spell. The latest statistics mean that there have been 887 coronavirus-related deaths since March. Meanwhile, in the rest of the county of Lancashire, there were 19 more Covid-19 related deaths recorded in today s NHS data. In Blackpool Teaching Hospitals, six more deaths recorded in the past 24 hours, and that was the same total for Southport and Ormskirk Teaching Hospitals, while the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust had five.

NO DEATHS have been recorded by East Lancashire Hospital Trust today. The trust, which manages Blackburn Royal Hospital and Burnley General Hospital, has not reported any further fatalities in today s figures. Elsewhere in the county, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals also reported no more fatalities in today s figures. In Blackpool Teaching Hospitals, four people died within 28-days of a positive Covid-19 test, one yesterday (January 22), one on Thursday (January 21), one of January 18 and one on January 16. In University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust another three deaths were reported, one yesterday (January 22) and two on Thursday (January 21). The Government said a further 1,348 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Saturday, bringing the UK total to 97,329.
