NMSU engineering and nursing students will pay more starting next semester

NMSU engineering and nursing students will pay more starting next semester LAS CRUCES –  Engineering and nursing students at New Mexico State University s main campus will be paying a bit more for classes starting fall 2021. Everyone else will pay the same rate as the previous year. After hours of discussion, the NMSU Board of Regents voted in favor of a differential tuition for nursing and engineering degrees at the university. Regents also voted to slightly increase fees for every student. Those degrees cost the university more to offer, so students majoring in those degrees will pay more, the reasoning goes. Next school year, students will pay an additional $25 per credit hour for upper division undergraduate engineering courses, as well as graduate courses in the Master of Engineering and Master of Information Technology programs. The price will rise to $39 per credit hour for those courses starting in fall 2022.
