A Deepwater man is facing a couple of felonies after an incident in July of last year.
Charles Shane Spellmeyer, age 51, was allegedly the driver of a motorcycle that sideswiped a vehicle as the driver was pulling into his driveway on July 28, 2020. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Spellmeyer was ejected during the crash and shortly thereafter left the scene. The truck suffered damage from the rear bumper to the front bumper on the passenger’s side.
Spellmeyer waived Preliminary Hearing and pleaded not guilty to Class E Felonies for Leaving the Scene of an Accident Causing Property Damage exceeding $1,000 and Driving While Revoked or Suspended; and a driving-related misdemeanor.
A 33-year-old Sedalia woman who is facing a drug-related felony charge after a traffic stop was conducted on Wednesday, January 27, in Pettis County, has posted bond.
According to a Sedalia Police report, during a probable-cause search of the vehicle, the officer says he uncovered eight individually-packaged bags of marijuana. They had a total approximate weight of 224 grams.
According to court documents, Jordan Danielle Rhodes is charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Rhodes posted $5,000 surety bond on Thursday, February 25.
Rhodes’ initial appearance is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 23, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
A 37-year-old Sedalia man is facing a couple of felonies for allegedly having inappropriate relations with a juvenile.
On August 13, the father of a 14-year-old juvenile reported to authorities, that his brother, Joshua E. Breshears inappropriately touched the young girl. According to the report, the abuse occurred when the girl was approximately 6-years-old while Breshears was living with his brother and the juvenile.
Breshears is charged with two counts of a Class B Felony for Child Molestation in the First Degree. He posted $50,000 surety bond on December 29.
Breshears waived formal arraignment and pleaded not guilty on December 22. Due to inclement weather, Breshears’ arraignment in the trial division of Pettis County Circuit Court is set for 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 15.
