A 33-year-old Independence man is facing a felony drug charge after a traffic stop in Sedalia on Valentine’s Day.
According to a Sedalia Police report, the officer says he located approximately 2.9 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale and several other drug-related items in the vehicle.
Court documents say Brian Eugene Tripp is charged with a Class C Felony for Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Tripp was arraigned on Wednesday, February 17. His next hearing is scheduled to be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
A Sedalia man charged with multiple felonies for allegedly assaulting a woman in May has had his case bound over for trial.
According to a police report, on May 31, a woman claimed that Brandon Cooper struck her in the face, pulled her hair and smashed the windshield of her vehicle. The woman also accused Cooper of pulling a knife on her and attempting to stab her.
Once Cooper was located by authorities, he was taken into custody and denied the allegations. Cooper is charged with Class E Felonies for Domestic Assault in the Third Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon-Exhibiting.
A 28-year-old La Monte man is facing a felony charge after a reported incident on Tuesday, February 9.
According to a Sedalia Police report, officers responded to the 2500 block of Bristol Lane in reference to a domestic disturbance.
The victim said she was punched in the eye, had her hair pulled and was thrown against a wall.
The victim was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment of any injuries, which were noticeable by police officers.
The report says 28-year-old Karnes B. Mosok was arrested for the alleged assault.
Court documents say Mosok is charged with a Class D Felony for Domestic Assault in the Second Degree. Bond is set at $15,000 cash or surety.
